What is anatomy like in college?

I am currently going to community college for a general studies AA and later get a 4 year degree for Poli Sci. I took anatomy in high school and am interested in it a bit more than general biology. Would it be strange for me to take anatomy 1 and 2 without going into a health field? My college has a very good nursing program and uses cadavers for the classes and I was just wondering if it would be too overwhelming for a person just looking for science credits (not the cadaver, but all the anatomy/physiology information).
